Superintendent of Schools Kate Carter sent an e-mail to students and staff informing them of Patrie's death.

Grief counseling was available at the high school from 8 a.m. to noon., according to Custer.

Patrie was a member of the South Windsor Dance Team as a freshman, according to the CIAC website.

A quick review of Patrie's Twitter account reveals a young lady who loved to dance and listen to music, particularly country.
