Fuel Tank Being Removed From Town Hall

Work being done in anticipation of Town Hall and Library building switching to natural gas heating.

The next few weeks will be busy with construction activities around Town Hall.

Beginning today (July 17), the town will have a contractor removing the fuel oil tank out front, near the front entrance, according to Director of Public Works Michael J. Gantick.

The project is being done in anticipation of Yankee Gas installing two gas lines from across the street on Sullivan Avenue to both the Town Hall and Library as both buildings are being converted to natural gas heating.

Gantick also said work will begin shortly on the replacing the front stairs to the entrance of Town Hall.
