Photographs of South Windsor Haiti School on Display

For the month of July, residents can go to the South Windsor Public Library to view the photos.

During the month of July, South Windsor residents will have the opportunity to see photographs of the preschool in Lilavois, Haiti that was named in honor of their town.

The photographs, which include the children who attend the South Windsor Haiti Preschool, will be on display at the South Windsor Library. The photos were taken by Dr. Joel D. Davidson, a Tolland dentist who played a key role in securing a $10,000 donation from the Connecticut State Dental Foundation to set-up a dental clinic at the school.

After several years of planning, South Windsor Haiti School, Inc. established the preschool program at Ecole Agape, a 25-year old private, tuition-free school that serves more than 200 children in grades one through six.  Since the preschool opened, it has enrolled nearly 80 children ages five through 11 who have never attended school.
