When it Comes to Glass, South Windsor Art Teacher is Head of the Class

South Windsor High School art teacher Evan Fable is so easy going, he jokingly said that he couldn’t even remember how old he is (he’s 29 for the record).

And while some of the glass pieces he has had on display at the South Windsor Public Library give some insight into that sense of humor - there’s a glass pig on display, for example - his expertise in the field that he picked up in college is serious business.

Indeed, in an interview last month, Fable said that he has taken two-week sojourns to New York state for the last couple of years to learn more about the art of glass blowing.

Many of the pieces that were on display are the fruits of his labor from those classes.
