Dairy Queen Holding Customer Appreciation Day Saturday in South Windsor

The Larkins want to thank the community for its support.

Despite the weather, the Dairy Queen at 845 Sullivan Ave. is still feeling the love from the residents of South Windsor. And to show their appreciation, owners Bob and Heidi Larkin are holding a customer appreciation day Saturday.

All day Saturday, the menu at Dairy Queen Grill and Chill will be half off, with only a few exclusions, Heidi said Friday. That includes ice cream cakes, blizzards and other food.

Dairy Queen opened in South Windsor in June of 2013 and was met with a wonderful reception, Heidi said. And it was a kind of homecoming.

There had been a Dairy Queen on Sullivan Avenue 30 years before, Heidi said.

"We love the people of South Windsor and we wanted our customers to know how much we appreciate their business and support since our opening," she said.

The restaurant is open from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m.
