The first-ever South Windsor Celebrates Fall was an unmitigated success.
Indeed, over 120 children participated in a fun run, while 144 adults ran in the Witch Way 5K in the morning, while scores of kids took advantage of the bounce house/haunted house/costume parade/crafts offered by the South Windsor Junior Women’s Club.
In the afternoon, there was a bicycle ride and a ceremony in recognition of South Windsor being named a bike friendly community.
A haunted torch walk hosted by the South Windsor police department to raise funds for the Special Olympics capped the evening in style.
