ZOMG! Dancing Gumby! South Windsor Town Meeting, Library Skeds

Here are five things going on in the area today.

Good morning, South Windsor! Today is Tuesday, Jan. 22, 2013; there are 343 days left in the year.

Kids, if you don’t do anything today, check out the video taken by Southington Local Editor Jason Vallee of a life-size Gumby dancing to “If You Steal My Sunshine” at the Southington Polar Plunge over the weekend. I have no idea why this video makes me happy.

But it does.

Here’s your Daily 5:

1. The South Windsor Town Council meets tonight with a work session beginning at 7 p.m.

2. The South Windsor Board of Education meets tonight also at 7 p.m.

3. Reading Round-Up at the South Windsor Public Library at 10:00 a.m.

4. Story and crafts at the Connecticut Historical Society in Hartford at 10 a.m.

5. “A Lincoln Portrait -The Man who Painted Lincoln" (George Henry Story) will be on exhibit at Wood Memorial Library and Museum opening Friday, Jan. 18 and continuing through Feb. 28.
