10th Annual Paws in the Park

Bring the dogs, bring the kids,
it’s the 10th annual Paws in the Park, sponsored by VCA Animal
Hospital. There is something for everyone at this FREE event that benefits the
Fidelco Guide Dog Foundation, South Windsor Bark Park and T.R.A.C.S (Tyler
Regional Animal Care Shelter). Last year, we raised more than $5,000 for our
great charities. The event happens on Saturday, May 3rd at the South Windsor Rotary Pavilion
in Nevers Park from 9:30 a.m. – 3 p.m.

Paws in the Park, coordinated by
the South Windsor Jaycees, has plenty of attractions for both our canine
friends and kids of all ages.  For our

furry buddies, there are contests such as Best Costume, Best Kisser, Best

Trick, Best Talker, Musical Sit and Best Dancer contest!!  All our winners and participants will receive
great prizes compliments of Camp Bow Wow.

Celebrity judges will be on hand to help us pick out the best of the

best. Get an early start with our dog walk at 9:30 a.m.!!

Besides enjoying seeing all the
dogs, kids will have fun taking part in all our FREE attractions including a
moon bounce provided by South Windsor Park and Recreation Department, face
painting by Camp Bow Wow, spin art sponsored by Leaps & Bones, Child
Fingerprinting and ID from TD Financial, free crafts with the South Windsor
Library, rally demonstration by Hartford Obedience Training Club (sponsored by
South Windsor Veterinary Clinic), music by Unprepared compliments of Canine
Company, fun games and more!
