Be Realtistic - Spring Home Buyer Tips for South Windsor Home Buyers

Now is the time.  Housing affordability in South Windsor is at near record lows, a combination of low rates and stabilized home prices.  We are spending less for housing than ever before based on a percentage of our income.  This makes for a great time to buy.  That great opportunity is bringing out many buyers this spring to look at and buy a new home.
What does it take to be successful this spring in purchasing a new home in South Windsor?
Be ready to act.  There are lots of other buyers out there all looking at the same limited inventory.  Lenders are looking for greater more detailed documentation than before.  That means be ready financially and emotionally.
Do you have your ducks in a row financially?  Have you reviewed your credit report?  Where is the down payment coming from?  Have you spoken with a loan officer to discuss options available, but also right for you?  You want to make sure you have done that before going to look at anything.  You don’t want to fall in love with a house you can’t buy.
With the activity amoung buyers this spring you may be out bid on a few homes before you are successful.  More buyers and low inventory means you need to be ready to act if you see something you like, and be ready to pass if you don’t.  You may find yourself competing with other buyers for the same house.  It is not uncommon to find realisticlly priced homes with multiple offers right now.  The marketed has shifted from what it was a few years ago, you must be realistic about that.
How do you buy a home this spring in South Windsor?  Talk with a mortgage loan officer and get ready financially, then know what you want so when it comes on the market you are ready to act.
