Fun Times for South Windsor Youth Hockey

South Windsor Youth Hockey enjoying some fun times!!!

South Windsor Youth Hockey was busy last weekend with great times for all of the players.

The In House program, which introduces hockey to newer players, currently has 70+ kids in it.

This past Saturday, January 5th, the boys and girls of South Windsor In House II hosted local rival ECHO at the South Windsor Arena.  They played each other in cross-ice hockey games which thrilled all of the kids from both programs.  It was a huge success with loads of fun for all of the young players.

The next day, Sunday the 6th, the same South Windsor Hockey In House II boys and girls went to Hartford to the XL Center to watch the Connecticut Whale play, and the kids played a short hockey scrimmage after the first period on the ice in the XL Center in front of the huge crowd.

Last weekend also saw some nice South Windsor Hockey victories.

Coming Up:

South Windsor Hockey has numerous games scheduled over the next few weekends.

Also, on Sunday, January 20th, at 5:55 pm, there is the Annual South Windsor Youth Hockey Coaches Game.  This fun event is a game played by all of the South Windsor Hockey coaches and assistant coaches.  It's a great way for the young players to see their coaches compete and it's great fun for the coaches to show off, or to demonstrate their need for more exercise.

Come and watch the game.  Donations are requested.  This year, South Windsor Youth Hockey will send proceeds from the event to a breast cancer cause.
