Community Update

Mrs. Beaulieu when did you stop working for South Windsor taxpayers and why?  Last October you placed on the agenda for the council to act on that very evening a proposal for a recreation center at Evergreen Walk.  This project would have contained a pool and two ice rinks.  The increase in our long term debt would have been from 75 million to 100 million.  The only way to pay for this would be to raise taxes as our Grand List did not grow.  Since you and Mr. Bazzano are sponsoring these increases in our debt it is apparent the only way to pay this debt is with an increase in the annual taxes collected.
Trust is very important.  We expect our elected officials to make certain all new projects are vetted and in the best interest of all South Windsor taxpayers.  The Evergreen Walk Rec proposal was so fraught with omissions, exaggerations and understated expenses, after four months of trying to undermine the taxpayers by avoiding referendum Mr. Bazzano at a council meeting was forced to pull the project.  Now shall we discuss two new synthetic fields and a practice field...?

We are down 471 students from 2009 yet we are being told we need two new synthetic all purpose fields and a new practice field.  Why???
