Driver Crashed Sunday into Dead End in South Windsor

A man from West Suffield was arrested Sunday on Slater Street for drunk driving.

A West Suffield man was arrested early Sunday morning for drunk driving, after he drove into a barrier at a dead end on Slater Street.

South Windsor Police officers went to a Slater Street cul-de-sac around 2 a.m. Sunday, where they found 33-year-old Craig Beauregard, of 1324 South Grand St., West Suffield, had crashed his car, according to a news release.

Neither Beauregard nor his passenger was injured in the collision.

Police administered a series of roadside sobriety tests and arrested Beauregard for operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol and failure to drive in the proper lane, according to the news release.

Beauregard was released on a $1,000 non-surety bond, the release reported, and he is scheduled to appear July 14 at Manchester Superior Court.
