Enfield Child Dies in Bicycle-Motorcycle Collision

An Enfield child has died, having succumbed to injuries sustained when hit by a motorcyclist while riding a bicycle in town, according to Enfield Police.

Enfield Police report units responded to the scene of the accident -- Broad Brook Road near Salerno Drive -- at 7:05 p.m. on Sept. 25. 

The child, whose identity has not been released by the police department, was hit while riding south bound on Broad Brook Road. 

The motorcyclist is identified as 28-year-old Brian A. Dolloff of 185 Broad Brook Road, Enfield. 

Dolloff, police say, was transported to Hartford Hospital, and the child was transported to Bay State Medical Center before being flown to Connecticut Children's Hospital by Life Star. 

According to police, Dolloff was reported as being in stable condition. 

The accident is under investigation, police say, urging anyone with information regarding the collision to call Officer Paul Dubriel by calling 860-763-6400, ext. 1322.
