Police Discover Drug Operation at South Windsor Apartment

Pleasant Valley condo resident arrested on drug charges.

A South Windsor man is facing multiple charges after police say they discovered an illegal drug operation at his Pleasant Valley Road apartment.

Jacquan Rondell Ricks, 29, of 949 Pleasant Valley Road, Apt. 4-11, was charged with possession of ecstacy, sale of ecstacy, possession with intent to sell marijuana and possession of controlled substances (marijuana), after Department of Correction parole officers conducted a home visit of Ricks on July 23, according to South Windsor police.

During the home visit, parole officers discovered "both a small and a large baggie of marijuana, ecstacy pills, and a large sum of cash," according to a police press release.

Local police officers and the regional drug unit, East Central Narcotics Task Force, investigated and subsequently arrested Ricks, who was held on a $25,000 surety bond and was presented in Manchester Superior Court on Tuesday, July 24, 2012.  Parole authorities will be seeking a remand order for Ricks.
