A South Windsor man is facing several charges after he allegedly broke another man's cell phone and refused to leave a motel room rented by a couple on Christmas Eve.
After the alleged incident, Matthew Gworek, 22, of 1519 John Fitch Blvd. was charged by South Windsor police with breach of peace, criminal mischief in the third degree and criminal trespass in the third degree.
According to police, Gworek demanded a ride and would not leave a room rented by a couple at the Nitey Nite Motel.
During the ensuing argument, Gworek broke a man's cell phone, according to police.
Gworek was released on a $15,000 surety bond. He is scheduled to appear at Manchester Superior Court on Jan. 3, 2013.
