Police: South Windsor Man Threatens Woman With Knife

A South Windsor man allegedly violated a protective order, among other charges.

On Monday, May 24, South Windsor Police arrested Tymus Ford, 22, of 1101 Summer Hill Drive, South Windsor, on an arrest warrant.

He was charged with assault in the third degree, threatening and criminal violation of a protective order.  The charges stem from an alleged domestic dispute that occurred on Thursday, March 20. Ford is accused of threatening a local woman with a knife during an argument.

The argument allegedly occurred in violation of a standing protective order that prohibits such conduct, according to police.

Police said Ford had fled prior to officers arriving and an arrest warrant was later obtained for him. He was held on $150,000 surety bond and issued a Tuesday, March 25, court date at Manchester Superior Court.
