Police: South Windsor Woman Tried to Board Plane With Gun

Firearm was found in a routine search, police said.

A South Windsor woman was arrested Wednesday afternoon at Bradley International Airport after airport security agents reportedly found a handgun in her carry-on bag, according to the Hartford Courant.

Marie Westbrook, 56, reportedly owned the handgun and had a valid Connecticut pistol permit but had attempted to board the plane with the firearm, the Courant wrote.

She was charged with circumventing airport security and released on a $2,500 bond. Westbrook was scheduled to appear in Enfield Superior court Oct. 30.
