Sleeping in the Car Results in DUI Arrest

In separate incidences, South Windsor police arrested two men for DUI over the April 4 weekend.

On Saturday, April 5, at about 10:30 p.m., South Windsor Police were dispatched to a suspicious vehicle on Oakwood Drive.

Officers found the operator asleep in the car. Following a roadside interview and sobriety tests, Zachary Arguso, 20, of 66 Jessica Drive, South Windsor, was arrested and charged with operating a motor vehicle under the influence of drugs/alcohol and operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license.

Arguso was later released on a $500 non-surety bond and is scheduled to appear at Manchester Superior Court on April 14.

On Sunday, April 6,  at about 3 a.m., a South Windsor Police officer stopped a vehicle on Ellington Road for a violation. The officer suspected the man was under the influence of alcohol, according to South Windsor police.

Following a series of roadside sobriety tests, officers arrested Calvin Parrish, 30, of 106 Main St., Vernon. He was charged with operating a motor vehicle under the influence of drugs/alcohol and failure to display a plate.

Parrish was later released on a $500 non-surety bond and is scheduled to appear at Manchester Superior Court on April 14.
