[Updated] South Windsor Emergency Personnel Respond to Accident Involving Motorcycle

At least one person was sent to the hospital, according to police dispatch.

South Windsor emergency personnel responded to an accident on John Fitch Boulevard this afternoon involving a motorcycle and a motor vehicle.

The accident, involving a Harley Davidson motorcycle and a Honda Odyssey, took place around 12:20 p.m. on Route 5 near McDonald's, according to Chief of Police Matthew Reed.

The driver of the Harley Davidson motorcycle was taken to Hartford Hospital by South Windsor Ambulance for treatment for injuries that were not considered life threatening, Reed said. The driver of the Honda Odyssey was not injured, Reed said.

The names of the drivers involved are not yet being released. No one has yet been charged as the crash remains under investigation.

At least one injury has been reported that required transportation to an area hospital, according to South Windsor police dispatch.
