South Windsor Firefighters Extinguish Car Fire

Blaze extinguished before it reaches a Robert Drive home.

It's been a busy Thursday morning for the South Windsor Volunteer Fire Department.

First, firefighters extricated a driver from a pickup truck after a one-vehicle accident on Ellington Road.

Then firefighters extinguished a car fire in front of a Robert Drive home, according to the fire department's Facebook page. No injuries were reported and the fire did not reach the home.
