South Windsor Firefighters Knock Down Out Buildings Fire

South Windsor Volunteer Fire Department were on scene in 5 minutes.

South Windsor Volunteer Fire Department responded to a fire this morning that involved two out buildings, knocking it down in just 10 minutes after the call came in to police.

The fire was at two outbuildings behind 73 Orchard Hill Drive – one a pump house for a pool, where the fire is believed to have started, Chief Kevin Cooney said. The other then caught fire as well.

No one was injured.

The call came in around 8:15 a.m., firefighters were on scene in about five minutes and the fire was knocked down in about five more, Cooney said. 

Firefighters are still on scene and the fire marshal is investigating.
