South Windsor Man Accused of Chasing Girlfriend With a Hatchet

The man was arrested twice in three days.

Timothy McCarthy, 40, of Dart Hill Road might be going for the wrong type of record.
McCarthy was arrested for the second time in three days this week for allegedly chasing his girlfriend around with a hatchet and for violating a protective order, NBC Connecticut reports.
Police say he was first arrested after chasing his girlfriend around with a hatchet and then he ran into the woods. A state police K-9 was able to find him in the woods, NBC reports.
After he appeared in court, he allegedly sent his girlfriend a text, which was in violation of his protective order and he was rearrested.
