Man was asleep in his car and allegedly was in possession of cocaine.

South Windsor police arrested a Massachusetts man after he was allegedly found to be in possession of cocaine while he slept in his car early Friday morning.

Police responded to a suspicious vehicle complaint at about 1 a.m. on Lakewood Drive. When police arrived at the scene, they found Michael Krautler asleep in his car with a clear plastic bag containing other small bags of white powder on his lap.

The responding officer woke the man up and detained him. Police say the white powder tested positive for the presence of cocaine. Police also found several syringes during a search of the car.

Krautler, 26, of 10 Labelle Drive in Springfield, Massachusetts, was charged with possession of narcotics, possession of narcotics with intent to sell, and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was held in lieu of a $75,000 bond and was expected to appear in Manchester Superior Court later Friday morning.
