The South Windsor Police Department is investigating an attempted robbery that took place Saturday at the Getty Mart, 561 Sullivan Ave.
A man entered the store around 3:45 p.m. and implied to the clerk that he had a gun, according to police.
He fled before obtaining any money, police said.
The suspect is described as a male wearing a ski mask, dark hooded sweatshirt, and sunglasses, according to pilice.
The suspect was interrupted during the attempted robbery and fled from the store and possibly ran across Sullivan Avenue toward Troy Road, police said.
A canine team from the Enfield police department responded to search for the suspect.
