South Windsor Police: Employee Took $1,800 From Pinkberry

A man is facing several charges after he allegedly took $1,800 from his employer at The Promenade Shops at Evergreen Walk, according to South Windsor police.

Andrew McDonald, 31, of no certain address, was charged on Nov. 15 with larceny in the fourth degree and failure to Aappear in the second degree. He was held on a $50,000 surety bond and will be presented at Manchester Superior Court today, according to police.

McDonald’s charges stem from an August 2012 larceny investigation in which the owner of the Pinkberry store located in Evergreen Walk complained that an employee - McDonald - had failed to deposit $1,800 in cash, police said.

Officers interviewed Mcdonald, who admitted to taking some money, according to police  An arrest warrant was obtained for McDonald and he was arrested by Wethersfield police who found him living in his car. McDonald was also wanted by West Hartford police for a failure to appear charge.
