South Windsor Police Log for July 13 - 19

Santiago Carrion, 40, of 41 Dart Hill Road, was charged on July 19 with violation of probation and was held on a $35,000 surety bond. Carrion was presented at Superior Court in Manchester on July 19.

Brandon Martin, 27, Detroit, MI, was charged on July 18 with burglary in the third degree (into a vehicle) and criminal attempt to commit larceny in the sixth degree.  Martin was held on $5,000 surety bond and was presented at Superior Court in Manchester on July 18. South Windsor Police officers were dispatched to suspicious activity reported by a witness at an Ellington Road business at 1 a.m. Wednesday morning. The witness stated that a man was looking through vehicles in the parking lot, according to police. When officers arrived, they found the man seated in one of the vehicles in possession of some items stolen from the car, police said.

Todd Halstead, 41, of 390 Abbe Road Ext., was charged on July 16 with forgery in the second degree and was released on $1,000 non-surety bond. Halstead is scheduled to appear at Superior Court in Manchester on July 26.  

Kenneth Williams, 48, of Dalton, MA, was charged on July 13 with failure to appear in the second degree and was held on a $2,500 surety bond. Williams was scheduled to be presented at Superior Court in Manchester on July 16. Williams’ charge stems from a missed court date for a 2004 motor vehicle violation/possession of marijuana charge.
