South Windsor Police Log for July 24 - 30

Matthew Dule, 25, of 81 West Road, was charged with operating a motor vehicle under the influence of drugs and/or alcohol and failure to drive in proper lane. Dule was released on a $1,000 non-surety bond. He is scheduled to appear at Manchester Superior Court on August 6.

Jose Martinez, 31, of Hartford was charged on July 29 with breach of peace, criminal violation of a protective order and criminal mischief in the third degree. Martinez’ charges stem from a June 2012 complaint made by a resident of Scantic Meadow Road, according to South Windsor police. A press release states that the alleged victim complained that Martinez been yelling and waving a tire iron around, threatening to damage his car.  According to police, Martinez then kicked the victims’ car, denting a door panel. Martinez fled the area prior to the police being notified. Martinez was later released on a $35,000 surety bond.  He was scheduled to appear at Manchester Superior Court on Monday July 30.

Joshua Moody, 29, of 1519 John Fitch Blvd., was charged on July 28 with assault in the second degree.  The charge stems from an alleged assault in June 2012 during which Moody broke a man’s jaw during an argument at a motel, according to police. A press release from the South Windsor Police Department states that police interviewed witnesses at a local motel and later obtained an arrest warrant. Moody was held on a $5,000 surety bond and was presented at Manchester Superior Court on Monday, July 30.

Gregory Burnham, 50, of 141 Troy Road, was charged on July 27 with criminal violation of a protective order and breach of peace. The charges stem from a domestic dispute in which Burnham allegedly broke his girlfriend’s cell phone during an argument, among other things. Burnham was released on a $15,000 surety bond and was scheduled to appear at Manchester Superior Court on Monday, July 30.
