South Windsor Police Log: Jan. 1

South Windsor Police made just one arrest overnight New Year's Eve.

At about 2:30 a.m., officers were called out to a one-vehicle car accident on Griffin Road, in which the driver allegedly hit a utility pole.

According to police, the driver, Brent Rogers, 23, of 58 Farnham Road, South Windsor, fled from the scene and was found later at his home.

He was charged with evading responsibility and interfering with an officer. He was later released on a $1,000 bond and is scheduled to appear at Manchester Superior Court on Jan. 9, 2014.
