South Windsor Police Log: Sept. 18-22

Alex Zimmer, 24, of 9 Burnside Ave., East Hartford, was arrested by warrant Friday, Sept. 20 and charged with third-degree burglary, third-degree larceny and first-degree criminal trespassing. According to police, a South Windsor resident reported that Zimmer had stolen numerous items from him, including jewelry, golf clubs and power tools. Police reportedly recovered some of the items from area pawn shops. He was released on $5,000 non-surety bond and scheduled to appear at Manchester Superior Court on Oct. 3.

Dion Thompson, 35, of 231 Tumblebrook Drive, South Windsor, was arrested Saturday, Sept. 21 by warrant and was charged with breach of peace and operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license. According to police, a local woman complained to police that he had grabbed her during an argument and driving her car with a suspended license. Thompson was held on $2,500 surety bond and scheduled to appear at Manchester Superior Court on Monday, Sept. 23.

Yesenia Bello, 29, of 7 Columbus Street, East Hartford was arrested and charged with operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol, failure to drive in proper lane and possession of less than half an ounce of marijuana. Bello failed field sobriety tests and was later released on $1,000 non-surety bond. She is scheduled to appear at Manchester Superior Court on October 3, 2013.
