South Windsor Police: Man Caught Burglarizing Buckland Road Home

Jason Myslenski was caught allegedly removing items, including scrap metal and a refrigerator, from a home on the 500 block of Buckland Road.

An East Windsor man is facing several charges after being picked up by South Windsor police Wednesday for allegedly removing an array of items from a Buckland Road Home.

Jason Myslenski, 26, was charged with burglary in the third degree, larceny in the fifth degree, criminal mischief in the third degree and possession of burglary tools after South Windsor police responded to a call from a woman who noticed Myslenski removing items from the yard of a home that is for sale in the 500 block of Buckland Road.

According to South Windsor police, officers found that Myslenski’s pickup truck “was filled with scrap metal items from inside and around the home. The items included a refrigerator, typewriter, typing desk, milk can and chimney top.”

The homeowner, according to police, identified the items as his and stated that the suspect did not have permission to be on the property, or to remove items.

Myslenski was later released on a $2,500 surety bond and is scheduled to appear at Superior Court in Manchester on Aug. 23.
