Homeowner called police after finding drug paraphernalia in a tenant's bedroom.

The tenant of a Long Hill Road home was arrested Sunday after the homeowner found syringes and white powder in the tenant's bedroom.

South Windsor Police arrested Jennifer Holtz, 32, who acknowledged using heroin, according to a news release. She turned over drug paraphernalia and prescription pills to police.

Holtz has a young child, and there is another child living in the home who could have found the paraphernalia, the release reported.

Holtz, of 39 Long Hill Road, was arrested and charged with risk of injury to a minor, possession of narcotics and possession of drug paraphernalia, according to the release.

She was held on a $15,000 surety bond, and she is set to appear Monday at Manchester Superior Court.
