Two People Sustain Minor Injuries in South Windsor Accident

Accident was reported at 6:04 p.m. Friday, according to police.

Two people sustained minor injuries in a two-car accident Friday evening at the intersection of Ellington Road and Pleasant Valley Road.

Both people were taken by ambulance to area hospitals: one to Manchester Memorial, the other to Hartford Hospital, according to South Windsor police Lt. Timothy Edwards.

The South Windsor police department, the South Windsor volunteer fire department, South Windsor Ambulance Corps and Ambulance Service of Manchester responded to the accident, which took place around 6 p.m., according to Edwards.

The makes of the vehicles and the identities of those who were taken to the hospitals were unknown, according to Edwards.

Traffic on Ellington Road had been reduced to one lane while the accident was cleared.
