What's Open, What's Closed for the 4th of July

Here's a partial list of businesses and government offices that are open and closed for Independence Day.

As you are making your 4th of July plans, which South Windsor  businesses are making theirs for the holiday?

Here's a list of the businesses and establishments in South Windsor that will be closed for Independence Day:

  • Town Hall Offices
  • South Windsor Public Library
  • South Windsor Public Schools administrative offices
  • Banks
  • U.S. Post Offices
  • State Government Offices
  • State courts

The following businesses will be open:

  • Geissler’s Supermarket from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
  • M & R Liquors 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
  • Cordial Shoppe from 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.
  • Griswold Wine & Liquor from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
  • South Windsor Liquors from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
  • Top Shelf Liquors from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
  • Town Center Wines and Spirits 10 a.m. to 9 p.m.

In addition, refuse, recycling and bulk collection will be delayed by one day from July 4 to the 5th. Pickups regularly scheduled for the 5th will be picked up on the 6th. Pickups regularly scheduled for the 6th will take place on the 7th.
