Manchester High Students Suspended for Alleged Cyber Bullying

Students allegedly spread list of "sexually permissive" girls through social media.

Four Manchester High School students have been suspended and an investigation begun after an alleged incident of sexual cyber bullying, according to a Hartford Courant report.

The boys are suspected of posting what is known as a “thot list” – the names of girls at the school that are deemed to be sexually permissive, the Courant states. Graphic descriptions of the students were also included in the list, which was posted to Twitter and Facebook.

The incident may fall into the realm of bullying and also Title IX law, which prohibits students from being subjected to sexual discrimination.
