Once again we see South Windsor Patch in it's true form. I am so disenchanted with this form of…Read More reporting. It will be a hard enough time for the Patrie family, with the anniversary of Hannah's passing coming up in a few months. I don't even have words to express how I feel about the wording of this article. Many other members of the South Windsor community feel the same way. Hannah was a bright and vibrant part of this community, don't you want that remembered. Besides two words to describe her, this story repeats the negative at the beginning and the end. It also doesn't have any sufficient evidence from the medical examiner if you have to look up what the diagnosis means on the internet and report that. This was just in bad taste. Hannah's family and friends have been through enough, just let them heal.

I remember as a child an incident where someone had wronged one of our neighbors somehow; I think it…Read More had something to do with medical malpractice. However, the neighbors did not sue. When I asked my parents why not, they said that it was "against their religion".
How wise that decision seems now that I am an adult. Does any good that can come from this lawsuit balance out the terrible grief and expense that will result? Why does the family's suffering need to be prolonged for years? Malpractice insurance will eventually pay a settlement, but only after all parties involved have to relive this awful event over and over in an extended emotional and financial nightmare. The only net beneficiaries, as always, will be the lawyers. Hannah Patrie, God rest her poor innocent soul, will be no better off. Whatever her family does, I hope it helps them find peace.

As a parent of a child who was a friend of Hanna's, I can readily attest to her remarkable…Read More vivaciousness. My continued sympathies to her family and friends--please know she is not forgotten, and very much missed.
