Meet Elizabeth Pendleton, Democratic Candidate for Town Council

Learn about this candidate's vision and priorities for South Windsor.

I am a lifelong resident of South Windsor and have been its advocate since high school, when I campaigned for our teen center. I have lobbied for affordable housing within our community and was instrumental in the creation of the Memorial Day Parade, Armed Forces Day “Picnic-In-Park” and the Veterans Memorial Terrace at Veterans Memorial Pool.

My husband (SW Firefighter Robin “Packi” Pendleton) and I are both military veterans (Marines and Air Force respectively) and the proud parents of two children and two grandchildren.

My belief is that a community is built upon leadership and volunteerism. I have past experience in Town Council leadership (2003-2005) and many years of volunteer activities, including the Patriotic Commission, docent at Wood Memorial Library and Museum, Little League Coach, Cheerleading Coach, Boy Scouts, SW Democratic Town Committee, and PTO.  I can also be seen dressed as Mrs. Claus for the Democratic Town Committee’s “Christmas in July” food drive and the South Windsor Fire Department’s Torch Light Parades.
