Meet Phil Koboski, Republican Candidate for Board of Education

My name is Phil Koboski and I am running for re-election to the South Windsor Board of Education.  For the last two years I have had the honor and privilege of serving on that Board.  During my first term, I have served on the Policy Committee and had the opportunity to sit in on the contract negotiations for both teachers and administrators.  I’ve learned much more than I had anticipated and working with the other eight members of the Board of Education has been a wonderful experience.

The years ahead look to be an exciting time for the school system of South Windsor, and I would like to continue to be a part of that.  As we move forward, one of the largest items of focus will be elementary school initiative put forth by the Administration.  I would like to be a part of the team that builds elementary schools that are not only best suited for learning, but also provide our student the safest environment to do it in.

My wife Brenda and I have lived in South Windsor for 12 years now.  I currently work at the Travelers Insurance Companies as a Director of Finance.  I have two sons, Theo and Eric that have graduated from South Windsor High School and are now in college.  I have seen the benefits they have received from our school system, and I want to work to make sure that the students going through our schools now and in the future can have the opportunity to garner those same benefits.
