What's your vision for South Windsor?

Find out what's happening in South Windsorwith free, real-time updates from Patch.

  • South Windsor is a vibrant and appealing community that attracts diverse businesses and residents.
  • We need to ensure that South Windsor is a desirable and affordable place for people to find jobs, raise families and remain in as they  age.
  • We need to ensure that South Windsor remains an attractive and business friendly place where commerce and industry can thrive.
  • We must maintain our excellent education system even as our student population changes.
  • We must care for the resources that make South Windsor great, especially historic properties, farmland and open space.

      What are your top priorities?

      • Reinvigorate economic development to increase the commercial and industrial grand list and reduce the tax burden on homeowners.
      • Work with the Board of Education to update school facilities while adapting to a smaller student population.
      • Create a balance between passive and active recreation that serves the entire community, regardless of age and ability.
      • Resist new borrowing until sufficient existing debt is paid off.
      • Use leasing appropriately, not as a means to avoid referendums.
