Wood Memorial Library's 3rd Annual Gingerbread House Festival

Free and Open to the Public

The holidays are here and once again they offer the opportunity for Wood Memorial Library and Museum to host its annual Gingerbread House Festival. From November 29th to December 15th, 2013, the spicy smell of gingerbread will mingle with the cool fall air and beckon the young and young at heart to enter and gaze upon row after row of beautifully decorated gingerbread creations.
Regional artisans and bakers, both experienced and novice alike, show off their creative talents with a spectacular array of candy covered houses, trains, trees and in some cases entire villages and farms.  Come see what they cook up this year for one of the largest gingerbread displays in all of New England.
The library, located on historic old Main Street in South Windsor, provides the perfect venue with holiday music playing in the background and a “Gingerbread Shop “ offering the chance to take home some of the magic with holiday themed gifts and treats.
So make this a holiday tradition and come join the fun!
Wood Memorial Library & Museum is located at 783 Main Street South Windsor, CT 06074. Hours are Mondays, Thursdays and Fridays from 10am to 8pm, weekends from 10am-6pm except on the last day of Sunday, December 15th when it will close at 2pm.  For more information call 860-289-1783, email wood.memorial.lib@sbcglobal.net, or visit www.woodmemoriallibrary.org
