One Injured in South Windsor Accident

Driver of a white pickup truck sustained a broken leg, according to South Windsor police.

South Windsor emergency personnel responded to a one-vehicle accident on Ellington Road on Thursday morning in which the driver reportedly suffered a broken leg.

The accident, which appears to have involved a white pickup truck hitting a tree, required the South Windsor Volunteer Fire Department to extricate the unidentified 30-year-old driver, according to police spokesman Lt. Scott Custer.

The accident took place around 1969 Ellington Road, according to the South Windsor Volunteer Fire Department's Facebook page.

It was not immediately known where the driver was transported.
