South Windsor Police: Man Causes Disturbance at Blimpie, Refuses to Pay for Sandwich

Fahad Khan, 22, of Vernon, faces a couple of charges.

A Vernon man is facing charges after causing a disturbance and refusing to pay for his sandwich at the Blimpie on John Fitch Boulevard in South Windsor.

Fahad Khan, 22, entered the store and began berating the staff and customers, according to Sgt. Scott Custer.

Khan then ordered a sandwich, told the cashier that he did not have money to pay for it, sat down and started to eat it.

The man was uncooperative with the investigating officers as well.

Officers arrested Khan, charging him with breach of peace and larceny in the sixth degree.

Khan was later released on a non-surety bond and is scheduled to appear at Manchester Superior Court on June 20.

In March 2012, Khan was charged by Vernon police with third-degree assault and second-degree breach of peace, police said.

In August 2011, Khan was charged with third-degree assault by Vernon police.
